It’s very important that you note down the registration numbers of all parties involved, as well as their make and model. This is so that a check can be made to ensure all vehicles have the valid documentation required by law.

• Take images of all the vehicles at the scene, especially the damaged vehicles including registration numbers so Carhoot can later demonstrate who is likely to be at fault.
• Get names, addresses and phone numbers of all drivers as well as any witnesses so that they can be contacted for their version of events.
• Note the name of the road, area and time of the accident so that all parties can be notified. 
• Make a note of the weather conditions and how others were driving around you.
• Notify the police if anybody is injured. They will arrange for ambulance to attend the scene.
